Meet Mitchell

Mitchell Horner is currently serving his second term in the Georgia House of Representatives, representing the people of House District 3. First elected by the voters of Northwest Georgia, Mitchell has focused his legislative work on fiscal oversight, tax relief, and government transparency.

Before serving in public office, Mitchell worked in private business and operations management, where he gained experience in budgeting, financial oversight, and operational leadership. That background continues to shape his approach to government: emphasizing accountability, responsible budgeting, and efficient use of taxpayer dollars.

In the legislature, he has worked on efforts to reduce taxes, strengthen fiscal oversight, improve audit transparency, and ensure government spending is accountable to the public.

Mitchell regularly works with local organizations, community leaders, churches, and civic groups to address issues affecting families, schools, and businesses across Catoosa County and Northwest Georgia.

Mitchell values faith, family, and community. In his free time, he enjoys studying history, economics, and public policy, spending time with his family, and attending community events throughout Northwest Georgia.
